Knowing our personal yearly cycle helps us to tune into the ‘weather climate’ we will be in for the year. Each cycle has its own themes, potentials, opportunities and pitfalls to be mindful of. This is because each cycle is based on a specific number vibration, and each vibration has its own essence. Being aware of our cycle for the year, beginning January 1 to December 31, can support us in being more of an active participant in our transformational journey. This understanding offers us to make more conscious and favourable choices to align to our highest expression and to step into more empowerment.
Each cycle is symbolic to a season. An example of this is to plant seeds in spring is more advantageous for successful growth than would be in the heart of cold winter. Each cycle supports our evolution because the themes that are presenting become a stepping stone to the next year’s theme of our journey and so on. Each yearly cycle is under the umbrella of a nine/ten-year cycle and when completed, we begin a new nine/ten-year cycle. While the themes that present upon each cycle are based on the essence of the number vibration, what specifically shows up will be unique and personal to us in relation to where we are at in our consciousness and journey. Which ultimately is guided by our soul.
In this numerological system, when we are in a 10/1 cycle, we are still under the completion of the nine, although the ‘season’ will now reflect the 10/1 vibration. This completion goes until September 22, 6pm of that year upon which after a brand new nine/ten cycle begins.
To calculate our personal yearly cycle, we take the current year, 2024 and add it to the month of birth as well as the day of birth we were born. Each month refers to its numerological number vibration, January is 1, February is 2, March is 3, April is 4, May is 5, June is 6, July is 7, August is 8, September is 9, October is 10, November is 11 and December is 12.
Example: Born July 18. 2024+18+7=2049. We then add this: 2+0+4+9=15. Then we add 1+5 =6. (We reduce to the primary number) So this would be a 6 personal yearly cycle.
Here are the general themes for each yearly cycle:
Number 1 Personal Cycle: This is a time of new beginnings and to plant seeds. To connect to our heart and soul. To take leadership of our lives by becoming clear on what we want and to take full responsibility for ourselves. There will be new, fresh wind in our sails. (The time to plant seeds officially begins after September 22, 6pm. Prior to this, there will be a sense of wanting something new or to begin anew. There may still be a sense of not having a clear flowing path until this September 22 point. Until then, we are invited to explore what we want to bring in anew and then ask ourselves what we need to release or let go of to open space for this. Where do we need to apply more courage or uplevel our self worth to create and receive the life we truly desire.)
Number 2 Personal Cycle: This is a time to nurture the seeds we planted in our previous cycle. The themes that may present are around relationships. Particularly our connections and how we relate to ‘everything’. The essence of cooperation, harmony, trust, diplomacy and honouring our intuition may arise. Discerning whether something or someone is really of resonance to us. Being aware when we are operating from fear and or creating or caught up in conflict. This is a year to be mindful of the consequences, and the consequences of the consequences. This is a cycle to slow down and tune into the details. To have patience to allow the unfolding of things in their divine timing. This is a year where new relationships or the connection of new groups may present. (If its an 11/2 cycle, additional themes of transformation, raising consciousness and illumination may be prevalent. Shining our light and guiding others with our light may be a theme. Opportunities and the ability to integrate aspects within us or in our lives may be present as well.)
Number 3 Personal Cycle: This is a year to have fun, laugh and be social. To be creative, communicative, optimistic and to relax! Themes around the Mother Archetype may arise, and fertility may be increased during this cycle. Finding the balance between nurturing self and others may present. This includes our relationship to nourishment, especially with food. Being mindful of where there may be disillusionment or not seeing things clearly is advised during this cycle. (If depression arises during this cycle, seek support and care)
Number 4 Personal Cycle: This is a cycle for work, service, planning and bringing our ideas (seeds planted) into the material form. Creating a routine or being structured is beneficial or may arise for implementation. This is a year to practice pausing, stepping back and observing from all different perspectives, then choosing the appropriate response rather than being reactive. This is a year of breakthroughs. So, if we experience any blocks, delays, detours, or obstacles, it is our opportunity to step back where we can see from a different angle, which may present information we couldn’t see before which then allows us to breakthrough and transcend. If we are in circumstances that cannot be changed then we are asked how we may find freedom within that containment of experience, situation or relationship. This is a cycle to be mindful of the direction of our thoughts, and what we are speaking into existence. (If it is a 13/4 cycle, there’s additional emphasis to avoid lying, cheating or gossiping. The power of word is emphasized.)
Number 5 Personal Cycle: Freedom and change are the main themes predominate in this cycle. Having experiences, adventures, travelling and anything to do with the body or senses may be highlighted. Finding more balance, flexibility or endurance may also present. This is a cycle where communication is encouraged, especially through the form of writing. When we learn from our experiences, wisdom is birthed, which is the great gift offered with this number vibration. There may be more desire for sexual experiences or experimenting with altering substances during this time so managing our energies in this cycle is advised. (If it’s a 14/5 cycle, there may be more of a sensitivity and compassion towards suffering. If we trip, fall or bump into things during this time, it’s a warning to pay attention and be more mindful of the body, of being in the body and to get grounded.)
Number 6 Personal Cycle: This is a cycle where relationships are forefront. Especially family and any obligations or duty to family. Matters around the home, marriage and divorce may also present. This is a time to be aware of balancing responsibilities. Justice and the legal mind are also themes that may present with this number vibration. This is a year to be creatively expressive. Going back to school, studying or learning something may also present and is greatly supported during this cycle. Community service and anything regarding the community may be highlighted. This is a beautiful year to begin a meditative practice or go deeper with an existing one. Acceptance, self-esteem and our immune system are additional potential topics that may arise.
Number 7 Personal Cycle: This is a self study cycle. To go inward and ask the questions “Who Am I?”. “What do I need?” “What is my truth?” Therefore, there is more of a calling, desire or need to go within this year. To be in one’s own energy to hear the answer to these questions. Strengthening or keeping our auric field strong and healthy are potential themes, along with setting or maintaining boundaries. There is opportunity for greater awareness and transformation during this time. Speaking our truth or learning to have the courage to speak our truth may also arise. Uplifting and inspiring ourselves or others may also be matters of more importance. This number vibration represents the analytical mind so we may be invited to become more rational, inquisitive or open minded during this cycle. (If it’s a 16/7 cycle, the theme of forgiveness may also present.)
Number 8 Personal Cycle: The main themes in this cycle are around power, authority and control. This is a cycle to take what we’ve learned from our previous year of inner exploration and to become more empowered. To put into action the changes we wish to see or create. This is a ‘windy’ year, meaning there is a lot of potential action and energy flow so it may be a busier year. Managing and balancing our energies therefore are important. There is more potential to increase our abundance and prosperity and or to get our financials in order. Starting or growing a business is supported during this time. This cycle is also a ‘karmic’ one, so energy we have put out in the previous 7 years now comes back to balance, gift, transmute or equalize. This is also a healing year, where we may develop our healing abilities or find healing or healers that we need. Breath is also a representation of this number vibration so connecting to our breath, or doing breathing meditations will provide additional healing, connection and calm during this powerful cycle. (If it’s a 17/8 cycle, there may be additional opportunity to gain financial and or spiritual abundance and fulfilment.)
Number 9 Personal Cycle: This sacred cycle is the year to experience our refined, subtle and infinite self. This is the number vibration of the creative energy in action. We are invited to bring in more grace, beauty, sophistication and love. Both within ourselves and in our relationships. To connect to our deepest intuition. To be calm, poised and regal. It is a year we may be called to mastery. It is a cycle to complete, release and let go of what is no longer serving or in alignment. Both within ourselves in the form of beliefs, patterns, etc., along with outwardly. Including the letting go of clothes, items, relationships, etc., that are no longer an expression of who we are or supporting our highest growth and good. This is the humanitarian cycle, so we are invited to offer any service to facilitate the betterment of humanity and the world. (This is emphasized if its an 18/9 cycle.) This cycle in essence lasts for 21 months as it crosses into the 10/1 cycle until the following September 22. Therefore, there is massive transformation afoot during this time. Where we are integrating the growth and awareness birthed from the previous years. Then we begin anew, yet evolved, wiser and transformed. This is a cycle to surrender and be in the flow. To merge deeper with our soul, to our higher purpose and to our ‘why’ in all that we are and offering. This is the cycle of magic and grace!
